The corn tortilla is my favorite. I love the flavor you get from them. Cream Cheese Chicken Tacos are made with corn tortillas and baked until crisp.
- Ingredients :
° 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
° 2 cloves minced garlic
° 2 cups deli grilled chicken or leftover shredded grilled/roasted chicken
° Handful of green onions, thinly sliced
° 1/2 teaspoon salt
° 1/4 teaspoon pepper
° 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
° 10 medium corn tortillas
° Canola oil for frying - Directions :
Step 1: Prepare the oven and heat it to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Placing skillet on the stove also turning heat medium.
Step 3: Add the oil and leave it until hot.
Step 4: Add 1 tortilla at a time and fry until light brown in color. Repeat this with the rest of the tortillas.
Step 5: Place the fried tortillas in a dish lined with a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
Step 6: Placing saucepan on stove and lower temperature.
Step 7: Adding cream cheese also heat to melt.
Step 8: Add the shredded chicken, green onions, garlic, and cheddar cheese.
Step 9: Remove from heat and stir until well combined.
Step 10: Fill each fried tortilla with the chicken mixture.
Step 11: Placing tortillas in a 9″ * 13″ baking dish.
Step 12: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Step 13: Remove from the oven and leave at room temperature to cool for at least 2 minutes.
