PREPARATION:
1st Step
Combine chicken slices, minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper in a basin. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 to 20 minutes so the flavors can combine.
2nd Step
Whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper in a separate basin. Reserve the stir fry marinade for later use.
3rd Step
Add vegetable oil to a large skillet or griddle that has been heated over medium-high heat. And once the oil is heated, add the chicken, discarding any excess marinade, to the pan. Stir-fry the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes, or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
4th Step
Remove the chicken from the pan and add the bell pepper slices, broccoli florets, carrot segments, snow peas, and mushrooms. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3 to 4 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender and their hues remain vibrant.
5th Step
Return the cooked chicken to the vegetable-filled skillet. Stir the stir-fry sauce briefly to incorporate the cornstarch, and then pour it over the chicken and vegetables.
6th Step
Stir-fry for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the marinade has thickened and evenly coated the chicken and vegetables. Ensure that the chicken is thoroughly prepared and that the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.
7th Step
Remove the garlic chicken stir fry from the flame once it is cooked to perfection. Add flavor and visual appeal with minced green scallions and sesame seeds as a garnish.
8th Step
Serve the garlic chicken stir fry with steamed rice or vermicelli as soon as possible while it is still steaming.
