Ingredients:
2 large cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon of sea salt
1 1/2 cups of mayonnaise (add more if desired)
2 tablespoons of vinegar
1 tablespoon of white sugar
1 teaspoon of dried dill weed
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers, sweet onion, and sea salt. Cover the bowl with cling film and allow it to rest for 30 minutes.
Next, transfer the mixture to a colander placed over a bowl or sink. Let it drain for around 30 minutes, occasionally stirring, until most of the liquid has been removed. Once drained, move the cucumber mixture back to a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, dill, garlic powder, and black pepper with a whisk until it’s well blended. Pour this dressing over the cucumber mixture, ensuring all vegetables are well-coated.
Cover the salad with cling film and let it chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours before serving.
