INGREDIENTS :

All-purpose flour: 2 1/2 cups

Buttermilk: 2 cups

Butter: 1 stick

Baking powder: 4 tsp

Sugar: 4 tsp

Salt: 2 tsp

method :

STEP 1.
Before you start, set the temperature of your oven to 450 degrees.

STEP 2.
Then, you’re going to get a medium-sized bowl and combine all of the dry ingredients.

STEP 3.
You’ll want to add the buttermilk, mixing everything together until a moist dough is formed.

STEP 4.
The butter should be melt in a microwave-safe bowl. Immediately pour it into an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish. Always remember that so the butter doesn’t drip out of the pan while it’s baking, your pan shouldn’t be too small or shallow.

STEP 5.
Alright now, be sure to place the dough right on top of the melted butter. Evenly spread across the pan with a spatula until it touches the sides.

STEP 6.
And please cut the unbaked dough (it should be swimming in butter at this point) into 9 evenish squares.
